Mindfulness is being aware of where we are and what we're doing whilst not reacting, or being overwhelmed by what is happening around us.  


When we are caught up in the business of daily life, we become trapped in the harmful, debilitating stress cycle.

Diana says "When I began practicing in the early 1980s it was a great way to keep fit, but my teacher then, a wonderful lady called Marie-France Bewlay, soon guided me to the awakening that it's so much more than that. Connecting the breath with movement and practicing mindfulness opened a whole new level of consciousness."

Gentle Flow is a graceful moving meditation for health and vitality and helps keep the body and mind focused and of course, The Breath is vitally important.  I love the following quote from Svatmarama, Hatha Yoga Pradipika:    



'When the breath wanders the mind also is unsteady. But when the breath is calmed the mind too will be still, and the yogi achieves long life. Therefore, one should learn to control the breath.'

Reiki

Reiki is a technique of channeling and transmitting vital energy by placing the hands, triggering one's own ability to heal oneself and is used to restore peace and balance in these areas: Physical: relief of pain, injury, metabolism, etc. Emotional: problems of sentiment, agitation, sadness etc Mental: harmful habits, stress, insomnia etc Spiritual: harmony, peace, balance.


Reiki is based around the ancient Hindu study of The Chakras. According to this belief, the malfunctioning or blocking of one or more of the Chakras provokes or aggravates a poor state of health, giving way to illnesses and disorders.
